Days 4-11 Challenge to meet Diabetic Goals

Goals for Challenge:
My goal for May 1, 2018 is to have my A1C down to 7 or below. It is currently 8.1.
My goal for March 30, 2018 is to have recorded my BS 4 x daily and keep my pre-meal BS 145 or below.
The past 7 days have been a challenge for I and my family. Living in upstate NY we have had 2 major snow storms leaving us with an additional 26" of snow. Many places have been without power,but we have kept ours, thank God. Roads have been blocked by down trees and travel hard. We have only made necessary trips out. I have planned our meals each day. I have stayed to my plan. I have checked my BS 4 x a day. Pre meal BS have been 90-145 except breakfast hich has been 154-170. Dr has increased my evening long acting Insulin dose starting today so will see if they come down. My Wt is 273. I have set a goal to lose 2 lbs this week. I am eating 3 Freggies at least a day right now. Took all my medicines as ordered and on time.
I will be getting in groceries over the next day or so and stocking up on water. Another storm is predicted for Monday. Making my list and sticking to it. Planning out all snacks. Using nuts right now and granola for snacks. Fresh fruit is expensive this time of year so use more packaged or frozen. Hot oatmeal is making a good breakfast for me. This week I am measuring out portions to keep me on track. It is easy to go over by eyeballing it. Need to practice.
I am hoping to be back daily now. Mina is feeling better now so less care for her. She had an upper respiratory infection and needed to be held and kept warm the last week and a half. She is more independent now. Still on my lap a good deal though. She is my cuddler.
