What happened?! lol Getting back on track

So, I remember doing awesome until about the third week in February...then I think I started to slack off on tracking food, but was still working out almost every day. Then a few weeks ago, my lower back pain came back with a vengeance and my workouts started to slack off as well...sigh. But, here I am, back and trying to get back to where I was headed, which was in a really good direction. I stopped losing weight one week, maybe that was part of the tipping point. I'm cutting a few calories off my goal each day to see if I can't get back to losing 1 to 2 pounds a week.

The back pain is really debilitating. It comes and goes, apparently now it wants to get really bad when it's that special time of month. So not only am I grouchy and sapped of energy, but I'm in pain. Not a great combination for a fitness plan. But I will keep trying and keep trying and trying. Keeping my goal for November of this year. And soon, it will be warm enough for me to go back out to the trail and start conditioning for jogging/running again. It's about my favorite thing to do in the world. =)

A little concoction I threw together for lunch: boil pot of water, add 2 chicken bouillon cubes, half cup of spinach, chopped carrots, and cabbage. Boil for 2 minutes. Add organic buckwheat soba noodles (1 bunch) and boil for another 2 to 3 minutes, stirring fairly constantly. Season a bit with garlic, salt and pepper. Scramble two eggs and serve on top. =)

    I hear ya, girl! We have been travelling the last few weeks in four different countries, and without being able to shop and cook our own food, my tracking also fell by the wayside. I just didn't even know where to begin to guess what went into the various dishes we ate. Now that we are settled for the next few weeks, it's back to meal planning and tracking. Time to get my streaks going again!
