Rainy Day Victories

Tuesday, April 10, 2018

I had to travel an hour and a half in the pouring rain to go to the dentist today. Four years ago I had extensive dental work done, so I have to go to the specialist who was not too far from where I used to live for maintenance because I really trust him and my oral surgeon and of course because they both are familiar with my case! So my dear husband and I traveled in terrible thunderstorms this morning to get there. I am happy that he drove because I do not like driving in torrential downpours. Luckily, after the appointment, it was just very cloudy with on and off drizzles of rain. I am happy and thankful that all went well with the traveling and the appointment! I also feel pretty pleased with myself for getting up a little earlier and getting my exercise done! The bonus was that we ate a late lunch/early dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in the county that we used to live in so now I do not have to cook dinner. I also made good choices and limited carbs. Although it was a gloomy day, all went well - exercise completed, safe travels, positive appointment results, and good food choices. So I fell like today was a win-win for me! I am grateful for these victories! emoticon emoticon emoticon
