I am burned out

I work a traditional Monday-Friday 40 hour work week cubicle job. I work Saturdays and leave my house at 9am and get home after 7pm. Every other week I hang out with my Little from Big Brothers Big Sisters. I try to go to yoga twice a week, barre class and a zumba class. I try to hit 10k steps a day. Sundays I’m left to try and recharge my batteries and do stuff around the house and if I can, walk a 5k for time. My husband works about 60 hours during the week and spends time on the weekends checking in on his work laptop.
We barely see each other. We try to exercise, we try to spend time socially with friends, we try to have movie nights. We end up fighting a lot, frustrated over our busy schedules. It hasn’t been easy.
As I’ve gotten busier and more stressed, my weight loss stopped. I haven’t slept well. I haven’t been energized. My brain has been sluggish.
This week I stayed away from the gym. I haven’t hit over 7k steps a day. I’ve been sleeping, doing chores and just relaxing in general.
It was a big honking reminder. Note to self, if you aren’t losing weight and your other biofeedback markers aren’t doing so hot either, then it’s time to reevaluate. It’s not a step back, it’s not lazy and it’s not going to stop you from hitting your goal. It’s important to have a balanced and flexible lifestyle. If it’s not maintainable then it’s not going to last.
