Earning a C in Dieting

I get a C in dieting and it's fine! Here's why.
I get a C in Calories and aiming for between 1200 and 1500 a day as my guide.
I get a C in Choices for choosing whole grains, for avoiding sugar and refined carbs, for choosing lean proteins, avoiding chemicals, additives, and preservatives, for choosing to exercise-even a little-every day.
I get a C for Common sense that tells me portion size really matters, choosing what best supports my weight loss and health goals is the ONLY way this is going to happen, that when I do mess up, for whatever reason, I just get back on track because perfection is unrealistic and perseverance wins out in the long haul.
And finally I get a C for Creating what will become my lifestyle that supports health, happiness, and an active life rather than the stumbling, discouraging,up and down path I have been on.
I am tired of feeling like a failure so bring on those C's!
