Let’s try again

Over the past 7 years I regained almost every pound I lost 2010-2011. I’ve been having a lot of trouble with acid reflux, so have made the decision to lose weight again. Now for those who knew me before, losing weight was pretty straightforward and, dare I say, easy. It’s the keeping the weight off that’s been the problem. So, I’m now enrolled in a hospital based program with a personal trainer, a nutritionist, and now a psychologist who specializes in weight loss issues. There is also a new wrench in my plans. I had an endoscopy and learned that I have Barrett’s esophagius, a pre-cancerous condition caused by years of acid reflux. Here are the no, not ever or hardly ever foods on the list: fatty/fried foods, coffee of any kind, non-herbal teas, chocolate, carbonated beverages including sparkling water, fruit juices, citrus fruit, tomatoes, dairy, mint, spicy foods.
The food news is that since starting to eat more healthy March 23rd I have lost 19 pounds. And today I walk/ran a mile on the treadmill and a vegan friend of mine asked if I’d lost weight. I’m thinking of trying to go vegan, but still stay lower fat, lower carb.
