Blog 89 . . . CLOSET EATING

Wednesday, May 16, 2018

I can be a closet eater! The problem is not as bad as it use to be (that's a good thing). Learning to talk about it here on Spark has helped me to get control my overeating! I nibble a lot, eat broken cookies do not count! Get the theme here? I really wasn't fooling anyone as my size told the real story! Bottom line here is I had to find a new way to comfort myself besides food! I write here at Spark, garden, love to read books and do countless canning and preserving foods. I love recipes and collect many! I remake nearly every one to shave calories! I go to movies and like to walk in the park! Some days there is no time for my meals! I work to fit in my 3 meals as I am diabetic! I do not eat in the closet when I am upset any more! big accomplishment here!

Good job! Yes, my mentakuty is that if nobody saw me eat it, it didn't count, but as you said, the BODY knows otherwise.

Proud of you! It's not easy!

I try to track all of my food and be honest about it. Some days are shocking but they help me see where I went wrong.

That's a huge revelation and self-realization. Identifying and understanding a problem is a major part of correcting it and it seems like you've made significant progress on that. Reading your insights and successes is very motivating for me. It's easy for me to self destruct after a bit of success. I don't want this to be a case of some success followed by even more failure. I want to keep on loosing or, at the very least, maintaining. This is helpful to read.
