Hello again!

I have been off SP for almost a year now and I hope to get back to visiting, exercising, and eating right! I have been inactive for so long and my health is worsening because of it. I have lost all interest in everything and all I do is try to sleep and watch tv when I can't.

I use to visit friends and walk everyday but my closest friends have moved away and I never feel good anymore. Every time I was invited to lunch or to visit, I would be sick and end up cancelling, and eventually they just quit asking. I don't know how make myself interested in anything again but I'm going to try.

I stopped going to church since it takes so much out of me just to get ready and since I work 5 days a week, I don't want to have to get up and dressed an extra day. I know that sounds lame, but it just takes so much energy to do anything anymore that I just lay in bed and try to sleep whenever I am home. I don't even get dressed on the weekends unless I have to go somewhere.

I do enjoy myself when I go out anywhere but I tire so easily, it often times doesn't feel worth it. I have gotten myself into a "Catch 22". I want to change all this now:)

    I know what you mean about staying in bed too much. That has been my norm for the last month. Had a blood test done last week, I'm slightly anemic. I think I have some depression also. I read and watch too much TV. Have a good friend that I talk to weekly. Her DH passed in Dec., and she needs some encouragement when she feels frustrated and out of sorts.

    Bladder spasms, tired all the time, drama with DD since the end of March, legal decisions to make, DH not spending enough time with me to learn about our financial and monthly items that I take care of. When the cancer claims me he will be at a loss on things to be taken care of.

    Sometimes you just have to make yourself get up, it can be too much of a habit. Baby steps in getting out. Set small goals each day.

    You have been missed. Just take it one day at a time, I understand the delemina as I too have to push myself each day to remain active. I have also stopped going to church due to the loud oxygen machine mostly but do watch our local church on Facebook usually in my pj's. I truly believe that Spark People has helped me so much through the years too with their many tips on nutrition and exercise plus the online friendship of other Sparkers. Wishing you the best and look forward to future chats. emoticon

    I've missed your cheerful posts but now understand why. Not wanting to do much is a feeling I can relate to but getting up and moving will help with breathing.
    Do talk to your doctor and listen to him/her. When you feel like it, we are here to share your ups and downs. emoticon

    i've been in and out of Spark for such a long time - and I know how you feel. It is difficult to get back in the groove of doing everything RIGHT like we used to. I hope you still have my phone number...we can talk.

    Definitely see your doctor and tell him or her how you are feeling. You may need a vitamin supplement or just someone to coach you along. Hopefully we on Spark People can help with motivation and friendship. Please keep sparking!

    Welcome back. Have u checked with your doctor? A visit just might reveal something just a little off in your system and causing you to lose interest in living a healthy lifestyle again. Pray that things get better for you.
