7/8/18 baseball, bloating and biceps haha

Sunday, July 08, 2018

So today was my son's last baseball game. They were in a tournament and lost today so the season is over. I'm a little sad for them but he's fine with it :)

I've been frustrated lately because the meds I'm on cause some bloating. I looked at my weight on previous doctors appts and it's stayed the same, but my stomach looks so much bigger. Ugh. I switched to a different anti inflammatory and it seems a bit better, but it's also further motivation to get more veggies and walk more, etc. Also the shape of my body is not helped by the fact that I haven't been strength training, so of course the muscle I did have is turning to fat which is bigger. So that's got me motivated to add that back in. My arms and back are definitely bigger too so I did upper body strength yesterday. I was exhausted so I didn't do a full routine but felt good to get some in and I'm ready for more!

I could blab on forever but I've got stuff to do so I'll keep this one short :)

Hope everyone is doing well! :)

You'll love the strength training. I started with some of the videos here on SP, some bands, light weights, and moved on after a few months to a weight machine and kettlebells. You'll love the results!
Enjoy the time with your son!

I really need to do some strength training too. Just got to make sure myself add it to my cardio.

Ah baseball season! I played softball when I was a kid... and had a love/hate relationship with those hot summer games and practices... Spring wasn’t bad, but when the heat and humidity started rolling in I started to wilt... lol
