July midway through - will I be in the same shape at the end of the year?

Wow that's amazing! Time is soaring past us in what seems like lightening speed. Which is a reminder to me that I got to remain focus so when the end of another year rolls around - I won't be where I was at the beginning of the year.

Two things I'm focusing on at this point in the year. 1. getting healthier and 2. financial health.

Healthier in both of these areas I believe go hand in hand. For emotional or stress eaters we may find that as we combat one of these obstacles - we over compensate with the other. I read and heard that when your surroundings are out of order it brings on stress and discomfort. It's also a sign of how well you keep your finances in check. Personally I found that to be true.

So all year I've been trying to get my weight and my finances in order. I start and then I get distracted. Well since May I have rededicated myself to getting both on track and keeping everything neat. Have I had ups and downs and struggles? yes most definitely. I've been pretty consistent with my Keto lifestyle but ... I struggle with the snacking on what I like to sugar coat as healthy and okay snacks. The dried fruit and nuts - sugar! :( and then there's the cinnamon fire jolly ranchers that I have dubbed my after meal mint (smile). Well after about 5 it's no longer serving that purpose. Then lately there's been the dulce de leche toasted coconut candy - equals nothing but sugar. Stalling my ketosis and weight loss. This pass week I loss a total of .06#s. I loss yes, but I could have done so much better. My goal is to get under 275#s and I'm 2#s away from that. Am I self-sabotaging? Possibly.
Then there's my finances. I got things to do with my coins. Well things I want to do, like remodel my kitchen, replace my windows, pay down my debt. I'm paying my bills but I need to do some serious snowballing because next year I got plans and the next 4 years I got plans to retire early! Now I've marked early Saturday or Sunday mornings as get your money going in the right direction time! No excuses. I sit and plan out my week, pay my bills and send money to savings.

I am at a point this morning where I refuse to be starting over multiple times in either of these areas the rest of 2018. This snowball I'm building in both areas of my life, I'm determined to keep rolling.

Last week I did make it to the gym the 3 days I set. I got in my 30-40 minutes those 3 days. I drank a little bit more water than I had been consuming.

This week my goal is 4 days to the gym for 40 minutes minimum. Get my water in everyday. Give up the snacking demons. I'm working on my finances right after I finish this blog post. Clearing my desk of the clutter and setting my intentions for the week and the rest of the month. I will reach my goal this month of under 275#s and keep it moving forward.
