House Update, and working out again

In May when it started to get warm in Texas, I found out my AC unit does not cool properly. After multiple troubleshooting with HVAC Repair, or handymen, I had to replace my AC unit. That was a nice chunk of money out of my wallet.

I also have had issues with my animals and my carpet, so I bought some plastic to lay down. It was a few hundred to cover almost all of my carpet.

Buying a house was probably a mistake. I am in a bit of debt from all the unexpected expenditures.

I had a housewarming party for my friends and co-workers, which seemed to be a hit.

Now for the stuff that is more for this site. I started to workout again.

One of my friends wants to lose weight, and I have been needing to lose some weight or get a little more fit. We decided to become workout buddies. We do not do a whole lot, but we have been trying to increase our activity.
We started with Just Dance for the Nintendo Switch. It has been too hot to go walking, so we have been dancing in my living room as a way to be active for 30minutes. We have been doing our dancing on Tuesdays and Thursday after work. We would also try to walk on Saturday or Sunday mornings before it got hot outside.
It is not much, but every little bit helps right?

There have been times when he could not work out during our scheduled workout time. I have actually been good about working out when he cannot. I did JustDance a few times without it. I have pulled out my easy Resistance Band, and I have been doing some working out with it on occasion.

I also pulled out these things from slendertone. I bought the ones for your arms, abs and butt a few years ago. I wanted to try them to see if they worked at strengthening muscles, but I was never consistent enough with them. I do not expect any weightloss from them. I am hoping they will help with the strength of my muscles. I still have to workout and eat healthier in order to shrink my fat. But, if I can get my muscles stronger it may help with the workouts.
I pulled them out because of work actually. Work initiated a work from home concept. We have to go into the office on Tuesdays and Thursday, but if I am not in front of a customer, I can work from home the other days. I have been using the slendertone systems while working from home. I can feel my muscles contracting, but it is not enough to prevent me from working, except for the arm system. To make sure my work is not disturbed, I have videos I have to watch for learning. I will watch those learning videos while the arms are going. This way I can work and hopefully have muscles getting stronger at the same time.

Last week, I noticed my Fitbit (charge 2) acting up. It kept vibrating. When I looked at it, it was constantly turning notifications on and off. The button was not being pressed or held down, so no reason for it to be acting like it was. I have been unable to get it to stop. I have tried restarting the fitbit, and leaving it plugged into a charger for days to see if it will realize the button is not being pressed. The physical button is not held down.
Because of my testing, I am now assuming the interior button hardware is stuck, and I have no way of fixing it. I do not believe it is still under warranty since the Fitbit is 1.5 years old.
I do have another fitbit that I had not been using. However, the other fitbit was for tracking swimming and has no clock face to it. I found where I had this other fitbit, and I charged it. Since it does not have much to it besides a step counter, I have not been wearing it to bed. It does not track stairs, but it can be submerged to swim with. The summer is nearly over, so not really a reason to go swimming anymore.
