We have all experienced sabotage when others ridicule, belittle or question our weight loss efforts.
Recently I experienced sabotage for what some might think of as a compliment. I was told "You look great". "You don't need to lose any more weight". "If you stay right where you are you are perfect". "Losing 30 more pounds will make you look wan, old, and sickly".
Do any of these sound familiar to you? Even when I mentioned that my doctor agreed with my final weight goal, these folks poo pooed this and said my doctor wasn't taking my age into account (like my doctor doesn't know my age). So now I was not only sabotaged but smacked down for my age. Gee, I can't understand why this didn't make me feel good.
But I guess I should thank them because it made me angry and even more determined to stick to my guns.
I hope all your saboteurs unexpectedly help you too, but more importantly I hope you can see it when it's aimed at you and use your super powers to deflect the effect.
