I guess I should have re-titled that to say month 13 down! Yes, yes it's true ladies and gentlemen, I have been on my third journey to lose over 100 lbs. for 13 months now. Stay seated, it's not that big a deal....well okay, I'll take your standing ovation.
I am proud to say that I had a whole year of weight loss with a loss every single month! I can't think of anything else I do on a consistent basis monthly...I don't even vacuum that often! (Probable because I have hard wood floors...)
But anyway... So I continued the trend with a 4.6 pound loss for January. My goal was 5 pounds so I think I'll take it! NOT too shabby and close enough.
Some observations from the month of Jan.:
I had a very hard time getting myself to the gym for almost a whole week during the month. In fact, I only made it to the gym one day of one week, and that was because I told my BFF that I had gotten up every day and gotten into my exercise clothes to try to get motivation to go to the gym. So she challenged me to sit IN my car IN my exercise clothes until I got motivated to go. I finally went on Friday because I didn't have any snacks or fun stuff in the car to play with and it was getting cold in there,
I have to tell you I have the same goal this year as I had last year, which is to have a loss, no matter how miniscule, for each month of the year until I make my weight loss goal. Which, BTW is scheduled to go down as of July 1st of this year if all goes according to plan.
Here are a couple photos from the month of Jan...
Size 18 jeans down from a size 26 last January!!!
Me at the gym, LEG DAY!!!
I also made a few new recipes as I am want to do, to keep the boredom out of my diet. In fact last night I asked TLW if she knew she would be on a "diet" the rest of her life when she married me. Her response made me Twirl Twirl! She said she knew she would be on some sort of diet the rest of her life anyhow, and she wasn't even aware we were on a diet because I make such good grub, it doesn't seem like it. WOW! What a compliment!
I love to cook and she calls the kitchen my "Lab". I totes agree! I love making new and different recipes all the time and it makes me happy to feed us good, healthy food every day on our weight loss journey.
I have a little under 45 pounds to go until I make my weight loss goal. My dear friend @PEREZPRZ19 has been my inspiration, my rock and my motivation to keep going on my journey. She is so inspirational and has made such a difference in her life and also many others on the Sparkpeople site. Thank you so much Jess for your help on mine and many others journey's. Because of her and TLW, I know I can reach my goal for the third AND LAST TIME in my life.
I told TLW tonight, I don't think I can do this ever again. Third time is a charm right? I know that this is THE LAST TIME I will ever have to lose over 100 pounds. I refuse to go on this specific journey again. I hope to be able to do as my friend Jess is,to help and inspire others to reach their dreams.
Looking forward to a Fabulous February!!
PEACE OUT til next time.
