Day 34 (PCOS)

Sunday, February 03, 2019

Friday I made a doctor's appointment because I was dealing with a bout of amenorrhea. I knew I wasn't preggers, much to my dismay, but I still wanted to know what was going on. An ultrasound later and guess what? It's Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Yay! sarcasm. So the past couple o' days I've been obsessively researching PCOS. I've learned a lot about the condition and it's side effects, it explains a lot about what's been going on in my life. Anyway, Monty Don is my new hero. I've been watching everything he has to offer as far as gardening shows go on Netflix and YouTube. Same with Costa Georgiadis. We've marked out where the garden will go in the backyard and where the pollinator garden will go in the front yard. I haven't gotten all of my seeds yet but they're on their way! Woot! Still plateaued at 306.6 today. I meet with Coach Cathy this coming Thursday and I'm interested in hearing what she has to say. Still doing daily yoga, am absolutely crap at tracking, and haven't yet introduced more exercise BUT I did go for a 1.1 mile jog with my brother, Dan. I did terribly but I still did it so in your face couch potato Sarah! Haha! Have a glorious week, Sparkpeople! I'm elated the polar vortex has vanished. It was too cold. Sarah

Hi Sarah. Congrats on what you are accomplishing and keeping an eye on what still needs improvement. That's progress!!!! I had PCOS but now it's gone with menopause. It can also be managed better through weight loss. Keep up the great work!
