First presentation at Montclair State today
Wednesday, February 13, 2019
In my retirement, I've been doing much volunteering and today starts a new one! I'm speaking to students (and anyone else who attends) at Montclair State University, basically summarizing the main function of my last 14 years at my position into 45 minutes!
Here's the point....as much as I was made to feel poorly about myself the final 2 years of my career....I'm a success story to many on the outside! Once I left the corporate world, and went into volunteering, I found many talents that I didn't know I had, and have been made to feel appreciated by everything I do for these organizations. Now, of course, it's free labor for them, and fortunately I'm in the position where I can do this work for no pay, (and I'm extremely grateful for that!), but I got myself out of a dark place. There's many things you can do as well to get out of your dark place, and a simple one is blogging here on SP, sharing your successes, fears, and just about anything!
Love and success to all!
