Retirement - here I come!

I'm so excited! My request for early retirement has been approved. Not only has the date been approved (the end of June 2019) but I've been granted a "package", which means that I will continue earning my full time pay for another year or more, at which time I'll start collecting my pension (yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus - I have a pension).
My plans are as varied as anything, from increasing my volunteering, increasing my landscape paintings, finally finishing all those half-finished craft projects (we all have those, don't we), reducing my expenses by moving to a smaller apartment, finally learning to play the guitar, and many, many more. One big plan is to start blogging and writing more, hoping to segue that into speaking gigs. That will help supplement my travel budget. Most of my bucket list is places to visit, not things to do. Six months from now, I'll be an entirely different person. I can't wait.
One thing I've been thinking about is that I'll need to step up my walking. While I'm working, I get lots of walking in by walking from meeting room to meeting room but once the "meeting" lifestyle is gone, I'll need to have "walking meetings" with myself. I'll take my camera, walk around the neighbourhood and take pictures of things to paint - flowers, trees, gardens, whatever tickles my fancy. I've been wanting to branch out to floral painting. Maybe this will be the kick in the butt I need.
