I am not an active member of any church, but I usually give up something for lent. It is more of a tradition than a religious need for me. So this year I forfot about Lent. Last week, my froend told me Ramadan was starting and evwn though she is exempt due to a new baby, she may fast a few days a week. This is May 5-June 4.
My friend was tickled pink that I was joining her in the best way I knew how. :)
I decided to join the 30 days of fasting RC style. I have given up chocolate, potato chips and soda. I am hoping that by the end of the 30 days I will feel full and satisfied after my meals and that I will no longer need junk food for dessert to make me feel "full" or satisified.
