# The Monster I feed.

### Tuesday, June 11, 2019

You know those packages of cookies in the stores,

You see the big 170 calories on it,

And you think "Oh Wow! I can eat this whole package! It's only 170 calories." Or ... "I can have this package of cookies instead of mindlessly eating from a big package." Or .... "It's just a package of cookies. It won't ruin my progress."

Then you see ....

"about 3 servings per container
serving size 4 cookies (33g)"

Lets do some math ....

This package has only 11 cookies in it. So that's 2.75 servings. Times 170 calories. Equals 467.5 calories per package.

467 calories for a package of cookies. Not to terribly bad. There are worse things out there.

Now lets say you have one everyday, because you're a cookie monster and monsters have to be fed. ... 467.5 x 7 = 3272.5

.... That's a pound of fat!

Lets say you eat one a day for a year ....
327.5 x 52 = 170,170

170170 divided by 3500 equals 48.62

If I was to continue to feed my monster a package of these cookie, every day for a year, I would gain 48.62 pounds.

..........
..........

I think it's time for me to stop feeding my monster.
What monster are you feeding?

Yikes! A lot of calories. Seriously, I glazed over at the math because it's totally not my subject, but I get what you're saying. My monster happens to come with buttercream (as in cake) and it's a daily struggle. Hang in there!
