Often we find ourselves paying the most attention towards negative thoughts, feelings, etc.
The scale was unkind or we had to stay late at work and missed our evening spin class. Broke the calorie budget, and so on... I certainly know I'm guilty *insert sheepish shrug* Why do we do this?!?
Today, I would like to write down the beginning of THE list of a few of my favorite things. Memories that make me smile or a new found love of sweating (more on that later) and any other blessings or life's sweet little moments come my way. I read that a gratitude journal is a great way to help acheive a positive outlook. A driving force if you will, that pushes us towards crushing our goals.
I will be trying an experiment. I will set time aside to blog everyday, and I will end it with a "little moment". Today, I will kick it off with the daily blessings.
1. A quiet morning. I'm the first one up and I love it. I can make my coffee and plan my exercise/fitness for the day.
2. Winding down at night, I review what's in the kitchen and begin to plan what tomorrow's meals will be. I write it all down and put it on my phone. It helps ease morning stress.
3. My boys are 15 and 17. The age where its uncool to show affection to their mother. Every once in a while when its just me and them, they hug me and tell me they love me. It catches me by surprise, and it just fills.my heart.
I could go on and on, but that's enough for now. Tomorrow is a new day.
