I last updated here in 2012. That...is a long time ago.
My dad recently lost 28 pounds. His secret? Tracking his food. I figured it would probably be a good idea if I started doing the same.
And I remembered there were trackers here. So here I am.
It has been a very long time.
I still like walking and yoga. I still love coffee and books. I still am married and have 2 children. I finally have a smartphone (I held out for a long time). I work in child care and do some writing on the side.
I tracked my food today. The official results were "Good job on calories. Bad job on protein (too low) and fat (too high)." I'm actually pretty pleased with this since I literally just ate what was available here. I need to grocery shop tomorrow, and I can think more toward healthy options.
I know it's been a while (okay, it's been a very LONG while), but I'm kind of excited to get back into it. My dad created a spreadsheet for his tracking, but I figured I might as well use the tools available here since they're already programmed, and I know how they work.
