Waking up on the right side of the bed

Yesterday I made a challenge for myself. The challenge is to blog everyday and end the blog with with "the good things". I wanted to propel myself towards all positive energy. It really started working!
I tell you what, first day after that first blog and I woke up with a pep in my step. I created a to do list for the day. I love that feeling you get when you check off an item, ya know, that small feeling of accomplishment. My list contained of 45 minutes of cardio, 45 minutes of strength training strength training, 2 mile walk shopping, and other errands. Check! Not only did I crush my goals, I crushed them with a new found fierceness.
I found some great deals while shopping on snow crab meat. I love crab cakes and want to find a way to tweak the recipe for a lighter version. This evenings task will be to research some recipes. Wish me luck! That's tomorrow's dinner, so if you see me complaining about starving you'll know I fudged it. Lol.
As a treat for myself, I bought a new Fitbit Versa. It's so dang fancy lol I haven't totally figured out all the features but it sure is sleek looking. Reminiscent of a smart watch. I'm like flipping James Bond right now lol.
My little moments of the day are:
1. I hit harder in my cardio today than I ever have.
2. My son filled out his first job application!!!
3. It's been so hot and dry the last week, and there's no end in sight. So I have been turning on my sprinkler so the birds have a place to cool off, grab a drink, and get some worms.
Today was a good day.
