A little bravery goes a long way...

Today was another great day for the books! I woke up in a terrific mood again, I'm telling ya.. writing these positive blogs have been a real joy. Its one of the last things I do before bed and it allows me to really reflect on my day.
Last night the bestie and I made plans to go on a mini road trip and find a beautiful spot for a picnic. During the winter I found the CUTEST picnic basket at a thrift store. It's a charming little wicker one with a clothe lining, brand flipping new! Equipped with plates, silver ware, cups, and clothe napkins. So I've been dying to use it.
I put together a little prep list last, night of, what I'll pack. It's been wicked hot here, so I wanted to pack things that didn't require constant refrigeration. We had veggies, olives, pickles, pita, tzatziki, hummus, and chicken.
We drove about 50 miles out of town and stopped at a nice little pull off next to King River. There was a quaint little island that we had to cross like 3 small streams to get too. Our feet got soaked, but we didn't care! It was so beautiful and sunny. When we were done snacking we explored the area. Found some nice rocks to bring home for painting and made our own "zen" rock stacks.
After a few hours we packed up and drove home. It was so dang hot we decided to go to the pool. Omgoodness, that cold water was magnificent!! I even went down the water slide for the first time in my life! I have never been brave because of my weight, but since I've been successfully losing weight... I thought why the hell not! So I did! BEST DECISION EVER! I shot out of that thing like a rocket lol.
It was just a darn good day.
My three "happy things" for the day:
1. Popsicles are amazing low in calories!
2. I got on the trampoline today. Something else I've been scared to do due to my weight.
3. My bestie 100% trusts me when I get into random adventuresome moods and will come aboard anytime!
