7-31-19 Kindergarten Eve

Wednesday, July 31, 2019

Well, we start a new era tomorrow. My son begins Kindergarten. Today I got up before 7 so I could get my little guy up AT 7, and we went out to breakfast. My little early riser was GRUMPY!! He enjoyed his blueberry pancake & bacon, though. We went to Open House around 5pm to meet the teacher and deliver the huge bag of school supplies that I have been collecting over the last several weeks. Saw the classroom, filled out lots of paperwork. I was (am!) tired but tried to keep focus. Good thing my husband was driving. I felt tired and in need of a nap around 11:30, but I pushed through... and didn’t have time to grab one. I did succeed in cleaning my car and folding a giant pile of laundry. I discovered today that I need some more school uniform clothes for my son; I had 4 days worth, but they had me send a spare set of emergency uniform clothes, so that puts me down to 3 uniforms in rotation... not quite enough. Hydration was good today- I basically had tea in the morning and water in the afternoon, and a little bit of Cheerwine soda with dinner. 10c total for the day, I think. Meds- took headache meds around 4:30, before going to Open House. Tomorrow is exciting because it’s the first day of school, but I am also excited because I have a massage therapy appointment scheduled after I deliver my little guy to Kindergarten. 90-minute session!! I am ready for that massage!!! Last time I got one, my migraine stopped within a couple of days, so I REALLY hope that happens again. Pic (if I can post it) is my son and me at breakfast today. He was ALL about the bacon! 🥓
