If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your, hand; O king.
Daniel 3:17

"Power" and ability" are synonyms, and the book of Daniel has examples of both--and the lack of both. For example, the royal counselors of kings Nebuchadnezzar and Belshazzar did not have the power/ability to interpret dreams and cryptic writing. Daniel did because of his relationship with God. It wasn't David's power, it was God's power working through him.
Because Daniel and his three friends had an intimate relationship with God and had full confidence in His sovereignty, they lived free of fear. When faced with the prospect of being burned alive in a furnace, Daniel's friends expressed confidence in God's ability to protect them. They didn't need to see God exercise His power; it was enough for them to know He had it. So they told the king, "We know God is able to save us, but even if e doesn't display His power we are fine with that. We trust Him regardless of the outcome." (Daniel 3:17-18)
Are you confident in God's power and ability? If so, you do not have to fear. You can live fearlessly, trusting in God's decisions.
