What are you looking forward to?
I am looking forward to following a course in how to knit! I have a Pinterest page full of lovely sweaters and other fun things to knit and if I am lucky I can subscribe to a local course for knitting - learned how to knit when I was young but I think I forgot a lot of the more special aspects.
I am dreaming of making a pillow / cushion and maybe indeed a sweater in lovely soft colors!
Motivation to keep working on better health:
I'd love to be able to practice more self control, chosing the big reward that is delayed over small gratifications in the hear and now.
I just read in the book by Roy Baumeister about willpower that I am rading now, that this ability is really the fundament of civilization. The first farmers had to exert huge willpower to be able to save the seeds they had rather than eat them right away, he says.
He also describes that willpower really is the key to success: those who have more of it turn out to earn more money, have better health, and stay out of trouble / prison much more often than those who have less willpower.
So glad that, after 11 days of abstinaing from refiined sugar, my mood seems much better in the past two days!
