The end to a perfect trip

Hubby and I arrived home last Saturday evening, from the perfect road trip. And although we had no television or internet when we got home, thanks to a storm I'm glad I missed, we were very ready for our own bed.
We ended up driving 5100 miles in 11 days, and that was even though our car sat at Mary's house from Thursday when we arrived to Sunday when we took off again.
But oh the sights we got to see. I already shared with you some of the sights from Indiana to Utah in my previous blogs. Here are some of what we got to enjoy: Salt Lake City and the Temple Square, The Bonneville Salt Flats (even walked out and talked with some of the drivers who would be racing), Glacier National Park and the Going to the Sun Road, Flathead Lake and fresh picked cherries from a roadstand along the Lake, McDonald Lake, Deadwood, South Dakota, Devils Tower, The Badlands , and then stopped at the store of The American Pickers, from the TV show.
So all in all it was a very memorable 11 days. And to top it off, we mostly ate out of our cooler at roadside parks and rest areas along the hiways. It was awesome!!!
The photo I am including is of Jim at the top of the Going To the Sun Road. The picture of course, does not do it justice as it is just breathtaking. Thank you all for your comments and traveling with me !!
