Gathering courage

My last blog referenced my fear of this whole effort and of failing yet again to either accomplish this goal or maintain if I do. I know that I CAN make it happen. I’ve done it a number of times! 😝 I just have to remain disciplined and keep my log going. It’s very difficult for me to exercise. I can only do light things due to my spinal injury. So I count everything. Housework, working in my little shop in my garage, anything I can count that makes me sweat. Even cooking if I’m chopping and moving. Maybe it’s cheating, but it’s all I can do. I can do some of the chair programs, and I have. That said, I’m screwing up my courage and conquering the fears. Just have to keep at it. Thank you all for the backstop.

    Mobility is beneficial and it looks like you are moving a lot. Helps to keep pain and stiffness reduced---(I have a spinal-neck condition) and must move daily. Lots of good chair exercises, but even when I am sitting, I make it a point to get up often and move about. Sorry about your spine condition. Don't give up.

    Thanks for the comment on my blog. I appreciate it. You can do this. I have restarted my journey by closing out my old account of many years and starting over - I am now on Day 6 of the 28 day program from Sparkp people = it you look at the top of the page click on 'learn' and you will see the link to it there - you might want to give it a try - it is working for me - I am changing my thoughts and am feeling so much better

    I had a bad back injury 3+ years ago and couldn't walk without a walker. I can relate in some way. Just keep at it. It takes such a long time to recover and it is a bummer dealing with a set back when you were doing good. But it will happen for ya, I believe that! Support is with me if you want it, just say the word. Keep pushing on!

    I'm so amazed at how you are doing. It's not easy with a signal injury. I say every movement counts!
