Need a reward system.

Friday, October 11, 2019

I think the reason I am losing interest is because my initial rewards have been recieved (new workout clothes, sense of accomplishment, etc.). So, one, I need to change my workout so that I feel like it's a new accomplishment. And two, I need to come up with something to reward myself with. Like, maybe tasks are worth points and so many points get me something I really want or something. I dunno, it's going to require more thought. I just need to do something different this time because I don't want to just quit like I've done so easily in the past. Just scan blog post dates and you can see the on/off behavior.

As we move through this journey sometimes it is hard to keep focused. I found that treating myself to some new clothes, makeup, fun jewelry, helped.

Here are some other ideas that work for me:
If you belong to a gym, try a new class, or get a session with a personal trainer. If you workout in the gym, go outside or flip it. Decide to make a new recipe every week, Log on to meatless Monday and commit to going meatless one day/week. Subscribe to a new blog or magazine.

Bet you can think of lots of other things to shake it up and keep you interested.

You are not alone. I have or buy whatever I want yet rewards are tangible. Still sometimes in the past I got partway & started letting little things slip. Plus I hit a plateau & back issues developed. Which came first? πŸ”orπŸ₯š?

I recently collected a bunch of Christmas stocking stuffer ideas for family from Pinterest. I then put the items in my Amazon wish list. I figure those items would make great rewards for my journey.

Hope you find some great things to look forward too that will make great rewards.
