New presentation today

Saturday, November 16, 2019

To at least 9 clients at the domestic violence organization on how to take back the holidays and not overspend, prepare for next year, manage their credit cards, and protect their identity! All in 3 20 minute sessions.....Lots of info to convey.

But, what's cute is that their children, age 13 and under, get to participate as well! We kick off with a flurry of activities where we differentiate needs vs wants, and how advertising and society can influence your decisions on what's a want a need.

I intend to tell the moms as well, that everytime you finance something, you sacrifice part of your financial future, and also do the "how many hours of work is that for you?" test to see if the purchase is really worth it! That's a trick a learned here, though I don't employ it as much. How much time on the treadmill is that snack worth? Let's see how it goes over!

I'm so glad that my parents taught me how to live within my means. We have so much more because we saved until we could afford the things we wanted instead of wasting money on interest all for the sake of instant gratification.

Oh, that we could all live within our financial parameters, or that money grew on trees. emoticon emoticon
