2019. The Final Month…
Sunday, December 01, 2019
Our final chance to work towards our year end goals.
Mine was to reach maintenance in 2019. That definitely is not going to happen. I made it through November, and Thanksgiving, without gaining additional weight. That’s my good news. However, since I lost little weight since August, that means I would need to lose 8 pounds this month to reach my goal weight. I am pretty sure that it will not happen.
Am I a bit disappointed, yes. Am I disheartened and discouraged, no. On January 1, I will simply begin anew and accept whatever I still need to lose as my new push for maintenance in 2020.
What I will not do is think of this year as being a failure because, even though I did not hit my maintenance goal, I have lost 5 pounds so far in 2019 and maintained my prior loss throughout the year. I am down 85 pounds total for my journey, and I did not gain any weight (that I didn’t lose, anyway) in 2019.
My journey is still a successful one for that reason and because my health numbers are still great without additional medication. That makes my 2019 a success in my book.
I wish us all a terrific December and I hope that you reach whatever milestones you have set for yourself to end the year with a positive, productive, and goal reaching month.
