"Buy some extra items and donate them to a local food bank"

I haven't done that today - but I will do it next time I'm shopping in a supermarket that has a collection box.

I'm so tired. It was the General Election yesterday - and last night I tried to go to sleep and set my alarm to wake up early for the results around 5 am. But I tossed and turned, and woke up about 3 am - and that was it! I got up and made a drink, started following the results on the internet.

I had had a text from work about 10 pm asking me if I could work a 15.30-22.00 shift today, instead of going to a training day 9.15-17.00. I said that I could. So at around 6 am, I went back to bed and slept until 9 am. At 9.15 there was a text from work to say someone else was now doing that work shift and I could go to the training - I was still in bed!

I got up, washed & dressed, made a coffee, picked up lunch from the supermarket and was at the training venue by 10 am.

But I'm tired now - and have an early start tomorrow.

I ate a chocolate bar at lunch-time, with my spicy bean wrap. I bought a mint brownie on the way home and had that with a cup of tea whilst I checked all the final results (St Ives in Cornwall was the last constituency to get the votes in - due to the Isles of Scilly's off-islands not being able to get the votes to the main island by boat until after midday).

So - an emotional eating kind of a day.

I'm one of the 56.4% who did not vote for Boris Johnson - so pretty dismayed by the result and the out-dated first-past-the-post voting system.

Enough said.
