Checking in at the end of 2019

Tuesday, December 31, 2019

Everyone is so nice to wish me well as a spark motivator. I feel like such a fraud! I have not been logging in. I was tracking my exercise very steadily, but stopped that! And don’t get me started about holiday eating. I need to remember my “Spark roots” and do better! I have still kept off over half the weight after quite a few years, but that is not super great. Happy New Year to all!

I tried to post this as my status but it was too long. So now it is a blog. And here is more...

Anyway, life is good. I have two grandchildren, ages 5 and 1, one from each of my sons. My husband had a big surprise about 15 months ago when he needed triple bypass surgery out of the blue. We are so fortunate that he did great and is healthier that ever. I am still doing high school math tutoring which is very fulfilling. So all in all, I am very lucky.

I keep saying I am not “ready” to start eating right again. But if I remember correctly, when I started about twelve (?) years ago, I jumped right in whether I was ready or not. Maybe I will try that again. Maybe not! (Not feeling ready! Too bad, do it anyway! I don’t feel like it! So what!...)

Have good health and happiness in 2020.

Love, Judi

Nice to hear from you. Not that you asked, but consider focusing on the healthspan vs lifespan, being there with vitality and few problems for your husband and grandkids even 10 or 20 years from now? You don't need to log all food and track calories, if that's what's daunting you.

    Continued delight in 2020!

emoticon Happy 2020 New Year so glad to see you as THE Motivator as it has been a long time since I saw you log on. I'm down to 136# since I have been seeing the anti-aging doctor who put me on Metformin. My blood sugar was 115 and now it is a 100 and I stopped having cravings so I've kept the wt off this time.

Do listen to his interview on YouTube
AGE MANAGEMENT MEDICINE - WARD DEAN M.D.

He was out in Las Vegas at an anti-aging convention and gave a talk right after Suzanne Somers. She said "I played the dumbest blond on Television, but this dumb blond has written 28 books. She's 73 now.

I found an interesting book by John Thomas "Young Again" and his web site is www.youngagainclub.com Check him out. He's 75. I don't agree with all he says, but he does have a lot of information.
