GET ON

Wishing everyone a Happy and Healthy New Decade!!!

I found this little piece of paper today with the heading GET ON, it does not say who the author was or is but since this is the beginning of a new year I thought I would share it.

"We have all had to walk in the night without seeing what lay ahead. Wouldn't it be better to stop walking? Maybe!

But if at the end of the road there is a goal to reach, a friend who awaits impatiently, a house where at last we will feel secure, shouldn't we keep going?

We are told that faith helps us to walk in the dark without tripping. How true! Because faith is a light! Yet it is not that simple. We receive this light only as we go along. Just like the generator that powers a bicycle's headlight: it lights up the way only if we pedal vigorously! If we stop, we are immediately plunged into darkness. Those who make the truth reach the light. Men and women who follow a straight path, who love with all their being, reflect an aura of light which, sooner or later, reveals the ONE who is the Light."

1-1-2020 I've been pretty good for the holidays.... gained & lost it! Even with stress of DH. Made us Veggie, turkey soup to 'live on' for a few days. emoticon Let's start the New Year the way we ended it! On a possitive note about our health & goals for that health! Are you in?

Wow, thanks for sharing this mystical wisdom. I truly believe it! It brought back the memory of me at age 22, driving an unfamiliar mountain road at night in a beat-up old Ford Pinto (an incredibly unreliable car), on the way to meet some friends at a mountain cabin that belonged to a family member of one of the friends. We had been told where the key was for whoever got there first, but I had the feeling as I was driving along that road that I'd never get to the cabinat all, because it was foggy outside, my defroster wasn't working, I had little experience driving in the mountains, and I had no idea where the vague directions I'd been given would lead me. I thought I would surely go off the road and into a ravine (Appalachians), or go onto the opposite lane and end up in a head-on collision. But somehow--with what felt like almost no input from me--I pulled off the road into a little dirt lane, and my headlights lit up a cabin that looked exactly what had been described to me. It was the right place, and I soon found the key and let myself in.

This kind of thing has happened to me only a few times in my life, but the Appalachian adventure felt the most like I was truly being watched over by angels. I had been in great need of help, and I received it. I often forget to think about faith, but when I remember this incident, I know that faith is warranted.

Thank you for this beautiful reminder!
