Time for a doctor visit.

Monday, January 06, 2020

I am so tired all the time. I get enough sleep. But, I struggle to stay awake during the day. Its interfering with my exercise because I am just too tired to do anything. I am actully struggling to write this because I just need to close my eyes. No excuses. I am going to set up an appointment with my doctor. I need to be able to stay awake, not just for fitness. But, for my children. This cannot be safe. Anyway, I just wanted to update and let everyone know I am still here. Just struggling.

Sure hope your labs help your doctor find a diagnosis.

Speaking from experience, your talking with the Dr is a VERY good idea. Three common reasons are
    Low Iron and related bloods
    tive Sleep Apnea.

Any one of those can have very serious consequences if left untreated.

I used to suffer low iron and related on/off for years
My Dr sent me to a Sleep Clinic to be assessed for Obstructive Sleep Apnea - Diagnosed as serious OSA
A couple years after the OSA diagnosis Hypothyroidism kicked in which blood tests revealed. I'm now being treated for that, too.

However, having said that, ensure that you are eating a balanced diet of lean protein and plenty of fruit/veggies, and that you are also meeting your various nutrient ranges.

Do you feel cold all the time? Is your hair falling out? Get your thyroid checked. I used to run around in a sweater in the summer and fall asleep when ever I sat down. It was a terrible feeling.

How is your diet? Too much sugar or a lot of carbs can be a problem.

Is it cold and dark where you live? You could have S.A.D.
Hopefully if it's a problem it will be one of these. They are all fixable.
