SMART = Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time
I need to make this short and sweet. My goals are this: to lose 20 lbs over the next 12 weeks. I can do this by tracking my food in Lose It, aiming to keep my calories less than 1650 per day. I won't let the calorie count rule me, but having a fruit and approximately 4 servings of veg every day are good goals as well. I find IF (intermittent fasting) to be good for me so I'll try to keep to a 16:8 fasting/eating schedule, but I won't be defeated if I'm not perfect with it.
I can see by re-reading the above that perfectionism is something I struggle with, and often I feel defeated by it. However, other goals in life were not achieved because I had perfect test scores, perfect attendance, or even perfect understanding. So, I will continue to pick myself up and not let the false idea of being perfect cause me any despair. Each day I will ask: What can I accomplish today?
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. (2 Cor. 5:17)
