So much better

Hey, has anyone noticed how much better your food tastes after you can't have it anymore!?! Not that we can't have it, but we cut down on things, and change our diet...I'm finding out that I'm taking my time now to really taste the flavor in the foods, and be thankful I'm eating healthier. I'm not sure how healthy pan fried grilled chicken is....and then I cooked collard greens, and chopped up some sweet potatoes and cooked them on top of the stove. I may have gone over my calories for that specific meal, but it sure was good😁 plus, it was very colorful!! Don't they say the more colorful your plate is, the better it is for you!?! I don't stay home and cook very often because it's just me, but when I do cook, I make sure its something I really like. I'm a southern girl, so of course I like all those foods like cornbread and buttermilk, beans, biscuits...so you can imagine how hard it is to give that kind of food up!! If I could just stay away from the rice and gravy , I'd be doing good!!! Of course, I justified it. I've been pretty good these last few days, and now those collard greens and potatoes are out of my system. Anyone else from the south, and finding it hard to give up those southern dishes?? If so, I wish you the best of luck. The hardest part of the day is yet to come. In between 8 -11 pm. I did manage to take 3 bags of clothes to goodwill, vacuum my floors, and do a little laundry, so the day wasnt a total loss. I'm enjoying my "Judy" time! Hope everyone has a great Monday!!!!!
