It was the best of times. it was the worst of times. It was the Internet.
I meant to spend just a few minutes checking out a few questions I had today, and the next time I looked up, two HOURS had passed !!!!!
And I tell myself that I’m doing research for my website-to-be, but I find myself searching out things that make me laugh (Look! funny Cat videos!) or videos on YouTube (Look! A pre-teen ventriloquist! Or COOL! Fifteen things NOT to do at Disneyworld!). Things I didn’t have the vaguest idea of being interested in suddenly become fascinating!
Oh! And the WISDOM!
But I DO believe that the Internet CAN be used for medicinal purposes, and I know there are first aid videos online, but those are not what I mean.... The best medicine is laughter, and I often find myself laughing out loud when I go online.... Cakewrecks.com, the website that highlights and skewers really badly made professionally made cakes, has been my go-to site for more than 5 years, and I certainly would have thought they would have run out of material long before now, but they keep finding beautifully awful examples of really bad cake art.
There are plenty of other laugh out loud sites, too, and almost all of them are funnier than anything on television...
And Memes! Many a meme has chased away the blues in my life:
Animal memes are common.... and totally sympathizable (if that’s a word)
But men make great targets of fun, too!
Oh, there’s SO much to make you smile.... how about this daddy and baby planking the mom?
Lastly, this classic photo of the little boy who wanted to train his dog, but when he asked his dad how to train the dog, the dad told him that there ere plenty of videos on YouTube:
Please tell me that you got at least some smiles out of these..... just think! That’s two hours YOU didn’t have to spend!
