The View at the Top...

The “Top” means something different to everyone. For some it’s a weight goal. For others a certain size. For others maybe running a race or reaching a fitness goal, For many it’s better health.
For me it meant good health numbers with less medication and I am happy to have achieved that goal.
I have not reached my goal weight number, YET, but I am still at the “Top,” because I am exactly where I needed this journey to take me. The number on the scale does not define MY success. When my doctor looked at me and said well done, when she took me off one more medication, when she said let’s cut back on your dose, all those things gave me a “view at the top.”
You see, my journey was never about the number on the scale but the numbers on my health chart. When those numbers improved, so did my determination to succeed and reach the weight goal as well.
The weight loss will come, as long as I continue to live my healthier lifestyle, but I am so far from where I was that I am celebrating NOW.
I have reached the “Top,” and it looks good. Now I just have to put in the work to stay there.
