Many treat the Word of God casually, yet these are the very words which will serve as their judge.

Do you know the voice of the Bridegroom? (Matthew 25:1-13; Hebrews 1:1-4; Revelation 19:7).
Jesus said, “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him - the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak” (John 12:48-50).
In school, we were instructed as to what we needed to know when exam time arrived. Most professors left little doubt as to the required reading and practicum skills the finals would cover. The foolish students chose not to prepare, partied, and did not take finals seriously.
Reading the words Jesus spoke, we know His words will judge those who reject Him, those who do not receive His words. How casually mankind has discussed and treated the Word of God, and yet these are the very words which will serve as their judge if they die without the Lord Jesus Christ.
When you open your Bible today, thank Jesus for His presence in your life. Please pray for those who have yet to accept His precious gift of salvation!
