Today was not what I planned. I was up early, got the kids on the bus, the pets cared for, some dishes, and then I napped. Then I needed to make a copy of my son's specialist visit and get it to his regular physician. He is on a couple of meds and the prescriptions hadn't shown up yet. They literally needed to be mailed 5 miles, within Minneapolis. Hadn't shown up and they were mailed on Tues. We also have to discontinue this specialist because we have new insurance. So they were reluctant to refill without a follow up. Well, after calling the nurse line in tears because we were out and were out of options, we decided I'd drive there to pick them up. So hubby came home an hour early and I left at 3 to pick them up. They were kind enough to include the months of the prescriptions to get us through until we get in someplace else. Rush hour drinking home and 30 min to have the pharmacy fill and we were set. That's literally took HOURS out of my day to deal with. Not at all what I wanted to do with that time.
I am reminded how awesome Keto is. I had "lunch" of a few slices of salami shortly before I left. I had dinner when I go at home, and went across the street to get it. I had Korean ramen soup, except I get it no noodles, with bean sprouts instead. I ate the same thing early this month when I wasn't doing well in Keto. I ate all of it. Tonight I finished about half. I'm just not as hungry in Keto! After a really strong week of good food choices and making it to the gym more, I've lost 4 pounds. I'm pretty proud, not even that much about the scale , because I know that's all water with the change back to Keto, but I had a good week with great choices and I see and feel the difference. I'm excited for the next week or two when my energy should be kicking back up again. Hopefully less naps.
