Sometimes motivation is elusive

I know that if I get my fitness minutes done as soon as kiddo is on the school bus I will feel better, more energized, and have the rest of the day free. But lately I have had a hard time finding that motivation at 730 in the morning. I still get up with him at 630, get fully dressed and ready to bike or treadmill, I get my meds and water into me. But then, an hour later, I’m all “go back and take a nap”.

Now mind, I still get my time in, so the only person I’m letting down is me. I find I spend as much time justifying why I can “do it later”as I would have spent just getting my minutes in. And I am still getting my other things done....but I am trying to get back my “first thing in the morning” motivation.

    The first thing in the morning is hard for me too. It really helped me to break it down to 20 minutes, three times a day. It really helped not needing to block out a solid hour, half hour or whatever. Good luck! You can do this!!!
