The Journey has been slow but worth it

I started and stopped this journey to healthy life style many times. I really didn't get serious until 2014 and even then it was a struggle. Finally wanting to be more healthy got me back on track. Some of my medical tests weren't the best, and so I decided to get serious. I joined sparked in 2013 but like I said didn't get serious until 2014. I joined a number of teams, left some not because of any reason except I took on too many teams and I couldn't realistically be active in all. I do owe a lot of my success (slow as it is) to the 5% Challenge, BLC Challenges and Biggest loser Challenges. I do all three, although somewhat similar a little different. All the teams I have been on and am on now are very supportive, plus I am very lucky I have a supportive husband. At 2014 I weighed 200, today I am 177. The weight didn't come off over night. There were some weeks I lost 2 lbs and other weeks I gained 3lbs. At times I thought this isn't worth the frustration. Then I read some books, checked out various web sites and realized I was doing just fine. Also not to judge myself too harshly when I failed. It was getting back up and on track that matter. Yes there are times I went off script but then the next day told myself I had my splurge so today eat wisely. I just want to say don't give up no matter how slow the journey is, if you fall, get back up. People who succeed in anything do not give up at the first, second, third, fourth or 100th time they failed.. They keep trying, they keep getting up. My medical tests this time came out very well. My doctor was pleased and I feel great. I am very thankful for my sparks family and my family they helped me do this.
