What does one do while the quinoa cooks? Why blog, of course! emoticon

Election day is tomorrow. California has had voting centers open for several weeks, so today I headed out to drop off my mail-in ballot. Quick and easy and the voting center seemed to have pretty steady traffic. I was glad to see that as I hate hearing the after vote numbers where only a small % of the registered voters turned out to vote.

You can actually show up and register to vote if you didn't register previously.

I really believe in participating in the process. So many people don't have that right all over the world. It's one of the foundations of our democracy and to not care enough to utilize that right, is just beyond my understanding.

For all of you enduring the campaign season, I encourage you to exercise your rights, and vote when your poll booths open.

Such true words. I won’t listen to friends talk about politics if they haven’t bothered to vote. I figure the right to complain about politics is earned by voting, lol.

They send the ballots out here in Colorado. There will be folks standing at the curb side to collect ballots that folks did not mail in but want to have counted. I liked going in and voting,, just not how it is done here.

Women marched, were jailed, beaten, divorced and turned out on the street in order to get the right to vote.
We can take a few minutes to exercise the privilege that they suffered for !!

I vote in Ohio. I just wish the season was not so long. I also wish there was a limit on the amount of $$$ any candidate spends. Some of that money could be used to help the common good.
