Wednesday March 4 Baby time

The sick Grandbabies got to stay at our house for the morning until their Mommy could get home. The little guy had to have his nose wiped I swear every 5 minutes at first but by the time he left @ 12:30ish it had stopped being so drippy - good sign.
He did not have a real big appetite but did finally accept a smoothie and some baby oatmeal that we still have hanging around from a mere month ago when he started refusing it.

One thing that was notable for me this morning was noticing that our little guy has started to call each of our dogs by their names. It is just such an awe inspiring thing to watch the speech development of both the grand babies but to hear him point to the dogs and say their names (Oliver, Jack and a little harder to say for him , Marilyn) it just floors me that he is not even 1 1/2 yet and has me step back and say to myself - when did he start doing that? You would think that seeing him practically every day that I would have seen it coming

We made sure that we did quiet activities all morning to try to get these little folks some extra rest . Daniel Tigers Neighborhood was on the watch list for today's quiet time . So quiet in fact that the little guy fell asleep in Papa's lap @ 10:30ish

It was nice to not have them all day so I could get to some things that I generally cannot get to when they are here but it was also nice to have the time together that we did have. I did visit in the afternoon after I had run a few errands and got to be just Grandma instead of "care giver" Grandma. I treasure that time too
