FAMILY ALWAYS COMES FIRST!!

Today I that I volunteer at that I would no longer be volunteering there. I would begin Self Quarantine immediately. I knew that the director would understand why since she has had to do so already.

My husband has had two strokes and is a diabetic. My mother is 83 years young and has a couple of fairly severe health issues. Both of them are highly susceptible to the Corona Virus. Up until today, I was still volunteering at the food pantry. Today I picked up groceries for my mother. When I called to ask her what she needed, she asked me to please leave them at the door. She is worried that the people that come in might carry the virus. She knows that if she did get the virus, she wouldn't survive. My heart broke. I made my decision right then and I let her know and why. I am her driver to doctors appointments that are more that 50 miles away. I can't afford to either carry the virus or to get this virus. I am responsible for two of the three people I care most about in the world! It was a no brainer.
