Caring for ourselves in stressful times

These are unanticipated times, but I also feel such a strong sense amidst it all of people taking care, caring for others, caring for themselves, and that adds a quiet strength underneath it all.
It may seem silly to come people to 'worry' about your diet or your weight loss at such a time and in that, Spark is probably the place to share such worries. But I've found my attention to what I eat actually has served as a balance point.
There is certainly stress and I've had a couple of glasses of stress-related wine and I've eaten some 'stress' carbs but to my surprise, my choices hav eall been in the realm of the 'carbs' etc that works for my program. That's when I realized that my 'program' is supporting me, beyond my goal to lose weight and be a different size. It's adding to feeling grounded and balanced - or more appropriately - "balance-ing" in a challenging time.
And if things get off balance, off one track and onto another, well, that's okay too. Re-balance simply means find balance once again. I know we can do it.
