How was Day #8 of Intermittent Fasting?

I definitely ate during my time frame, but I really need to work on how I eat on my days off. I'm going to try fasting for 20 hours and eating for 4 hours. This will limit the amount of food that I have time to eat. The key is finding the best time of the day to eat. I was thinking lunch time will be the best, but of course I'm unsure what will work best. I tracked every single bite today, but I really need to plan out my meals better. I'm disappointed with how many calories I ate and I know I could do better. I ate and then tracked, which is bad. I need to flip it, to track and then eat. It will help to keep my portions in control. I know better, but I'm still a work in progress. I'm most proud because I got in my 10,000 steps as I promised myself. On my days off, I'm definitely not active enough.

    Day #9:

    I have realized my problem during my nutrition throughout the week. Going forward, I'm going to make sure to log my meals before I eat them. I need to keep each meal between 300-500 calories and my snacks need to be between 100 to 200 calories. Portion Control! Portion Control! Portion Control! My 1st meal was a cup of oatmeal, which is extremely filling. I really need to stick to this way of eating especially on my days off when I'm not as active.

    Fasting really makes me enjoy the foods that I eat even more. I had a cup of oatmeal for lunch and then a salmon stir fry for dinner. Then since I still had calories to eat, I had a small bowl of ice cream. Today was a much better day than yesterday calorie wise. My first meal was at 4p and my last meal was around 8:30p. I made it around 19 hours fasting, and the goal I am working towards is 20 hours daily.

    Off to bed to start another day bright and early in the morning.
