Mid-Week check-in

Time for a check in. I've been doing good! A few adjustments here and body responds so much better when those 1200 c's are low carb. There are two major trigger moments for me throughout the day. The first comes at noon when I cook a dinner for my 93-year-old mother who lives with me. She needs her big meal earlier in the day so I cook her the kinds of meals she likes but sometimes it triggers me to eat more than I'd like to or something not aligned with my nutrition goals. The second major trigger is at night before bed or sometimes waking up in the middle of the night. I crave sweets at that time with milk. It's disappointing to me that I go all day successfully meeting my blood sugar and nutrition goals only to upend the whole thing with a slice of cake and milk or cookies at the wrong time.
So I've devised workarounds for those two triggers by keeping bananas and sugar free treats handy for those late night snacks and by eating my low-carb breakfast at noon so I'm not tempted by the rice, potatos, chops and things I make for my mom. I've lost a few pounds! My plan is to post a pic and my weight loss stats monthly.
