A simple tactic to chose healthier foods more often

Studies show that when choosing between food options, if you say "What do you want?" you are more likely to choose a healthy item than when you say or think “What do I want?”

Research shows that when we speak to ourselves in the third person we think in more nurturing ways. Speaking in the third person is described as distanced self-talk which elicits a self-control strategy that encourages healthier eating.

This is a simple, easy strategy to employ that is proven to yield healthier results.

    I love this! It is true. Do you know the Watcher exercise from Martha Beck’s book, “Four Day Win”?

    This is from that: “ While both the Dictator and Wild Child make you want to overeat, your Watcher self is not nearly as compulsive.
