So I kept saying that I need to get back to planks.
Today, being that I have done over my target minutes for the week in exercise, I decided to pedal, dog walk and do some yoga, planks and stretching... and I did!
I’m starting slow, 2 planks of about 30-40 seconds each, but I did them!
Once I get back to doing the planks, I can build up to pushups too. They both help with that tummy flubber, which I need to eliminate. Now I know that age is against me, sob, in the sense that I am doing this late in the day, but not so late that I can’t ‘flatten the curve’ of many years.
Anyway, it’s been a good day, with an hour of pedalling, 40 minutes of dog walking ( the rain had only put in a brief appearance this morning), the planks and yoga. I even got the ironing done, before the next lot presents itself after I wash more clothes and bedding on Monday and Tuesday - after all, I do need a break from it too!
So, dinner was coq au vin from my batch cooking when I left the freezer open, with sweet potato mash and stir fried cabbage with caraway seeds and mustard. We even had a bit of dark chocolate to follow, although I gave two squares of mine to Laurie, as I really didn’t want all of it ( I’ve been polishing my halo lol).
Tomorrow it’s due to be a bit cooler, which is fine for dog walking, but I really would rather the sun came back...
Whatever you’re doing this weekend, be kind to yourself, by feeding your body healthily with good food and great exercise. Be that friend to yourself that you’re proud of being to others.
